To My Wild

Broken, I gather
pieces of self I treasure
whole is the bouquet

~Monique Susanna Simón

To My Wild: Poems from an Untamed Heart gathers years of poetic work into an immersive collection of language, image, and elemental reflection.

Many of these poems first appeared in literary journals, magazines, and anthologies. Here, they are brought together with new and revised work, original visual art, and an elemental structure that turns the collection into a path.
Moving through wood, earth, water, air, and fire — with steel interstitials of illness, grief, upheaval, and loss — To My Wild journeys through an inner ecology of survival, tenderness, rupture, and return.

Here, nature is more than metaphor. It becomes a living language for what the body remembers, what the spirit endures, and what the heart still dares to become. The poems invite readers into an immersive landscape where beauty is not separate from difficulty, and the wild is reclaimed, not as disorder, but as the living rhythm to which we also belong.

This is a poetry collection for readers drawn to nature, resilience, embodiment, and the untamed heart — a book that invites wandering, pausing, returning, and recognizing the self in the living world.
